The unique perspective from above offers a chance to capture the stunning natural beauty and the vastness of this quarry. Don't pass up the opportunity to document this remarkable location from the skies; it provides a perspective that genuinely highlights its impressiveness. It's truly a view like no other.
The water is so pristine there that you will love this place. Scuba divers have a lot of fun there as there are numerous tugboats and cars in the water as well.
The Giant Pink Bunny
In 2005, the famous pink bunny sculpture was first spotted by a drone in Northern Italy's picturesque Piedmont region. This whimsical and captivating art piece revealed from an aerial perspective, ignited the curiosity and wonder of viewers worldwide. Its debut from above marked the beginning of a long-lasting fascination, solidifying the bunny's status as an enduring and iconic installation. Although it is quite random and strange at first glance, it's also mesmerizing.
Given the name Hase, it measured 200-feet in length and is 20-feet-high. Although plans were to keep it there by 2025, it had already decomposed by 2016.
Skyscrapers Everywhere
This remarkable aerial perspective reveals the city of Hong Kong, renowned for its towering skyscrapers. While these skyscrapers offer a stunning visual, they have posed significant challenges for Hong Kong residents seeking affordable housing. The city's real estate market, dominated by these majestic structures, has made it increasingly difficult for citizens to secure affordable living spaces, underscoring the dichotomy between architectural splendor and housing accessibility. Though the drone photo itself is fascinating.
Although skyscrapers are beautiful to look at and make for an impressive view, they definitely come with a controversial background and history.
Canoeing With a Whale Shark
Captured on Derawan Island in East Kalimantan, Indonesia, this photograph showcases a wild moment that can only be encountered when out in pure nature. This innocent canoer was enjoying their daily row when a giant whale shark made its way behind him. It looks like if the whale shark wanted to, it could swallow the canoe whole. We're curious what happened after this shot was taken...
Perhaps the purpose of this photo was to show the world that sharks are not as dangerous as they are portrayed to be.
The Boneyard
Undoubtedly, the United States allocates substantial funds to acquire military equipment. Yet, the fate of retired equipment remains a curious question. In Tucson, Arizona, "The Boneyard" comes into play, serving as the repository for decommissioned military hardware. Here, retired equipment finds a new role, either through repurposing or as a source of spare parts, illustrating a strategic and sustainable approach to managing these assets. Either way, who knew there were this many planes in one spot?
It is the resting spot of over 4000 different types of military airplanes. This is the world’s largest storage center that has been around since the end of the Second World War.
Gulliver the Gentle Giant
This image, taken from a drone soaring over Edinburgh, Scotland, showcases the statue known as "Gulliver the Gentle Giant." What adds a unique dimension to this artwork is the fact that it was created by Jimmy Boyle, a convicted murderer, during his time in Glasgow's Barlinnie Prison. This amalgamation of artistry and a criminal past imbues the statue with a captivating story, making it a compelling subject of curiosity and contemplation.
The statue that has become quite popular among the local population was placed and unveiled in 1976. As it became unstable over the years and the government wanted to establish a flood prevention system, the local government decided to remove it in 2011. Although it was demolished, it lives on the cyberspace to this day.
Christ The Redeemer Statue
This special picture of Rio de Janeiro's Christ the Redeemer statue was taken with a drone. The drone helped us get a rare and fantastic view of this famous monument. It's a new and exciting way to see the statue and the beautiful area around it that most people would never know if it weren't for incredible drone photos like these. Drones really change the possibilities of photography and capture views unthinkable.
It is 124.7 feet tall and is on top of the 2,329-foot-high Corcovado Mountain and that's why full credit must be given to the drone flyer to take such a perfect shot.
The Vanuatu Volcano
This is a really insane drone shot that looks straight out of a Hollywood movie. It was later disclosed that several drones were lost in an attempt to take this photo as many drones were not able to handle the high temperatures of this place. The image captures the raw, fiery intensity of the volcano’s core, glowing like a portal to another world. The sheer danger involved only adds to the drama.
And proves how far photographers will go to get the perfect shot—even if it means sacrificing expensive equipment.
The Six Flags Theme Park
This is the abandoned Six Flags theme park which is located in New Orleans East. In 2005, the park was closed during the preparation for the Hurricane Katrina. Unfortunately, it did not open after that. This photo was taken with a drone two weeks after Hurricane Katrina and you can see the park was mostly underwater at that time. Nature’s force turned a place of joy into a silent, submerged ghost town.
The haunting stillness of the flooded rides and empty walkways paints a surreal picture of what once was a bustling attraction.
The Kraken Hole
Although the name “The Kraken Hole” sounds scary, this is not a natural occurrence but rather a man-made one. This is an artificial spillway that was built on the grounds of a Californian reservoir. Still looks scary though. From above, the perfectly round opening appears like a dark vortex swallowing everything in its path, earning its ominous nickname. It’s designed to help regulate water levels.
But the eerie symmetry and swirling water give it a cinematic quality that sparks the imagination—and maybe even a few nightmares for those afraid of the deep.
Guatemalan Sinkhole
In 2010, the Guatemala City was hit by the tropical storm called Agatha and this horrifying sinkhole appeared. The sinkhole’s diameter was about 65 feet with the depth being around 300 feet. This looks really scary and what’s even scarier is that sinkholes are a frequent occurrence in Guatemala City. The photo captures the eerie perfection of the hole, as if it were punched into the Earth by a giant force.
It swallowed an entire building, adding to its nightmarish appeal, and left residents deeply concerned about the city’s unstable underground terrain.
Pegasus Airline Flight 8622
This is the drone shot of Pegasus Airlines Flight 8622 from the city of Trabzon. When it reached Trabzon, however, it missed the runway and slid down a cliff. Fortunately for everyone, the plane stopped before hitting the Black Sea. No one was hurt but the airport was shut down and remained that way until the investigation was over. The image is both chilling and surreal.
It shows the plane precariously balanced on a muddy slope. It’s a stark reminder of how close disaster can come—and how miraculous a safe outcome can be.
Humpback Whale Jumping Out
This crazy shot was taken on Santa Barbara, California, where a humpback whale jumped out of the water and almost took a boat with it. As the adrenaline rush went away, the crew was super excited as they had a great story to tell. Thanks to the drone, their story was backed by some strong evidence. The sheer size of the whale compared to the tiny boat makes the moment even more jaw-dropping.
It’s a rare, heart-pounding encounter with nature that few ever witness—let alone capture so perfectly on camera.
The Communal Birds' Nest
You might have thought at first that it is the head of a cow or moose, but this is something really amazing. This photo of the largest known bird nest was snapped with a drone by a South African photographer. In this big nest, there are hundreds of social weaver birds living and they are known for their maintenance skills. That explains why their nest can even last for 100 years.
The structure resembles a massive thatched roof, sprawling across tree branches and telephone poles, showcasing both engineering marvel and natural harmony.
Vietnam's Golden Bridge
Behold the awe-inspiring Golden Bridge in Da Nang, Vietnam, captured in a stunning drone shot. This architectural marvel appears to be held aloft by two gigantic stone hands emerging from the lush greenery of the Ba Na Hills. The bridge, with its sweeping curves and golden hue, offers a breathtaking vantage point over the surrounding forested mountains, creating a surreal and magical atmosphere that invites visitors to marvel at nature and human ingenuity intertwined.
The Golden Bridge in Da Nang, Vietnam, appears suspended by giant stone hands, offering breathtaking views of Ba Na Hills from a unique aerial perspective.
Camels in The Sand
Oh, this is such a mesmerizing photo. And this is not a computer-animated photo. As the sun was in a perfect position, the shadows gave a dramatic mirror effect. It is a spectacular sight! Who knew a camel caravan could make for such beautiful imagery? The real camels appear almost like silhouettes, while their elongated shadows stretch gracefully across the golden dunes, creating a surreal pattern.
This stunning visual illusion highlights the magic of timing and perspective—reminding us how something ordinary can become extraordinary when seen from the right angle.
A Clown in The Field
This photo was taken in 2016, a strange year in which there were the most scary-clown sightings reported throughout the world. This particular photo was captured by a drone flying over a field in Huntsville, Alabama. Fake or not, it is definitely something that gives you a scare. The clown appears to be standing eerily still in the middle of an open field, adding to the unsettling vibe.
With no one else in sight, the image feels like a scene straight out of a horror movie—unnerving, mysterious, and oddly unforgettable.
